2018 Dressage By The Sea Willinga Park

Willinga Park is the most amazing equine complex in Australia! What a great place to compete!

Rebecca and I took BHM Spanish Love to compete in both the 5.3 and 5.2 Advanced tests and were thrilled with the performances.  Placing 11th and 12th respectively out of large professional fields and being the baby of the group by 12 months, this little mare just keeps on getting better.

And what a way to finish a great competition with BHM Spanish Love and Rebecca Walshe placing 5th in the Advanced Freestyle!

We had a fantastic weekend at the 2017 National Capital All Breeds Show.  We showed five horses with too many Champions and Supremes to list!

All Breeds Senior Ridden Challenge

What a proud moment with Rebecca Walshe making the top six with two BHM horses!  BHM Spanish Love placed 4th and BHM Spanish Amor placing 3rd!

BHM Spanish Amor

Denzel won too many championships and Supremes to list but some of the highlights were:

  • Champion Working Hunter Challenge
  • Champion Ridden Warmblood
  • Champion Ridden Double Registered
  • 3rd Senior All Breeds Ridden Challenge

BHM Spanish Love

Alice also had a successful show with some of there results:

  •  Champion Ridden Partbred Andalusian both Saturday and Sunday
  •  Champion Led Partbred Andalusian
  • 2nd in the Ridden Warmblood Mare
  • 1st Ridden Double Registered Mare
  • 4th Senior Ridden All Breeds Challenge

BHM Black Elegancia

Elli has come out of retirement and this was her first show.  Elli is the dam of BHM Spanish Amor and BHM By Design and a half sister to BHM Spanish Love.  She looked fabulous and won Champion Ridden Pure Spanish, Reserve Champion Led Pure Spanish on Saturday and Supreme Led Pure Spanish Mare on Sunday.

BHM By Design

This was Sky's first show and he took it all in his stride! Sky won Champion Ridden Pinto and Supreme Led Andalusian Derivative.

BHM Kommander

The baby of the team, Kommander is a yearling Pure Spanish gelding attending the show for experience.  He placed 1st in Led Spanish Gelding on Saturday and won Supreme Led Spanish Gelding on Sunday.  He was such a good boy!

I am so proud of the baby of the BHM dressage team with BHM By Design ridden by Kailia Simms of Canberra Performance Horses placing 3rd in his very first dressage test (Open 1.3 Preliminary) at National Capital Equestrian Dressage Championships today!

BHM By Design is following in the footsteps of his older brother BHM Spanish Amor who won the Champion Elementary and his auntie, BHM Spanish Love who won Champion Medium! I have no doubt BHM By Design will be joining them in the near future for his own Champion award!

Thank you Nina Boyd and Kailia for all the work you have done with him!

Riverina Dressage Championships

A fabulous result at the Riverina Dressage Championships with the following results:
Rebecca Walshe and BHM Spanish Love winning Champion Advance Dressage Horse as well as winning her Medium test the day before. Not to be outdone BHM Spanish Amor placing 2nd and 5th in Elementary on Sunday and 4th and 2nd in his Medium tests on Saturday.  I am so proud of this team who just keep getting better as they mature.
